The Latest School Shooting. The Mini earthquake (2.7)
in Hampton, NH. The Olympics and North Korea.

This latest shooting has had a strange affect on me. I realized, as I was watching the reports unfold on TV, that I had what can only be described as a "blank feeling." Yes, I was sad for the families who lost loved ones. And yes I was mad at the shooter. But I was at this strange level of emotions. Just a blank feeling. Not numb per se, just nothing.

The familiar scenes. The familiar reporting. The familiar response by law enforcement. It was all to familiar.

So I took a very long walk in the woods with my dog. And here's what I came up with.

1. Forget about that STUPID F****** WALL along the Mexican border. President Trump, take a Mulligan on the wall. You won't be the first President who didn't come through on his campaign promises. And forget about that "Ego Infested Military Parade." The money you save from these ridiculous concepts could be better spent. Here's how:

2. Set up an entire division of National Guard/ Border patrol somewhere down near the border. Once you establish a base. Start monitoring the Mexican border 24-7. Every day. Every night.

3. Put two armed police officers with M-16's (fully auto) at EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL IN THE US. Put an undercover Police officer inside the school roaming the hallways. Lock all doors.

4. Put metal detectors at every school single in the US. Public and private.

5. Allow teachers to have concealed weapons. Train the teachers how to handle firearms.

6. Implement STRICT background checks for every weapon sold.

7. Put a HEAVY VETTING on anyone, who purchases any kind of Military assault weapon. Anyone 18 or younger must have an authorized parental or guardian signature and info before they can purchase the weapon.

8. Deny any person who has spent time in a Mental Hospital or in Prison from purchasing any kind of weapon.

9. Have Zuckerberg and his cronies to start monitoring their product 24-7. With a fine tooth comb. He has enough money to employ people to monitor Facebook. Any signs of any kind of violence, should be reported immediately to law enforcement. Or face a severe penalty/fine.

10. If a shooter has been found to have been watching violent movies and or playing violent video games, the company who makes the movies/games must pay a severe fine and penalty.

11. Outlaw Bumper stocks. Bend or break the rules if need be.
But OUTLAW them.

12. If a shooter uses a Military assault weapon, the store who sold it, and
the company who makes them, shall face a severe fine/penalty as well
as the NRA. They support it. They should pay for it.

13. DO NOT GIVE ANY TIME TO THE SHOOTER. Give them a number and a black silhouette face. DENY them their 15 minutes of fame. The media must restrain from making these losers famous.

14. If a shooter has any ties with any kind of Radical/Hate groups. Authorize the police/military to destroy their compound and confiscate all weapons.

15. Students need to be more vigilant. I was surprised at how many of those kids knew that this "shooter" was on a path of mayhem. SPEAK UP!. Who cares if you're wrong. Better safe than sorry. Enough with lunatics making threats and nobody doing anything about it. SPEAK UP!!!

And above all Let's FIGHT BACK!

I know this seems radical to some of you. But this is our reality. We can pass all kinds of gun laws, but the simple truth is...there are already too many Military assault weapons out there today. The NEXT shooter, already has his AR 15 or AK 47. No future gun laws are gonna stop him. A well placed round in his forehead will.

The sooner we face these facts, the sooner we can start saving our children.

I guess this seems silly to our friends in California. And I'm sure the Mexicans are having a good laugh about this. But can we please enjoy our mini quake? It only lasted about 10 seconds, but it was cool for those of us who rarely get to experience them. I was sitting in my kitchen eating breakfast when I heard the rumble and then a boom. My dog was freaking out. I looked out the window to see if a truck had hit something but there was nothing there.

So, I did what any normal American would do in times like this. I posted on social media "Did I Just Feel an earthquake in Hampton?" Well the comments came flooding in. From Maine to Mass. Our little 2.7 was legit. This was the second quake we've had in the last 5 years. Is there a big one coming?
I doubt it. But one never knows. And if one does? Beware Cali friends!

Tonight Saturday February 17th, 2018 Cory and I are going to see the Beatles. Sort of, RAIN is a tribute band who play and look like the Beatles. It's no secret that I love the Beatles. I always have. And I always will. I never got to see the Beatles live. I saw every Ed Sullivan show, but never saw them live.
I did see McCartney in 1975. Just 5 years after they broke up. He played a few Beatles songs. Later in life Cory and I went to see him, and he played many Beatles songs. It was great. But it was not the whole band.

I'll let you all know how it was.

This may have been posted before. If it has, I apologize. This is me
at Lumpy's. Ed loved that name. He used to crack up when I would have code names for all the breaks. Lumpy's was one of his favorites. I miss his laugh. Photo by Ed O'Connell

Now for Some Local, National and International News
OK if you missed Shawn White's amazing last run to get the Gold Medal in Snow boarding you missed a great piece of Olympic history. The 31 yr old White won his third Gold Medal and he did it on his last run. It was crazy good. If you have not seen it, I'm sure it is on the Internet somewhere. I know it's there on ON-DEMAND. Check it out. Whether you're a snow board fan or not, it's worth watching.

I shot this with my I-phone on the TV. The emotional Shawn White.

OK the North Korean Figure skating team skated to "A Day In The Life" by the Beatles. And check this out, it was Jeff Beck's version. They should have gotten a medal for that alone.

Check out these boys guarding Kim Jong Un's sister. Whoa.

That's right folks if looks could kill? Pence would have a poison dart in the back of his head. Crazy Kim's sister giving the look of death.
I wonder if Pence could feel her breathing down his neck? Scary huh? I bet anything Trump and Kim were watching this scene and hoping one or the other would start fighting. That would have been great to see. I'd rather see these two duke it out in the stands then their bosses launching nuclear bombs at each other.

KSM Photoshop of the Week
Would you look at who's sitting next to Crazy sister? KSM is once again front and center on the International stage. How'd he get to sit next to her? How'd he get out of GITMO and fly to South Korea? These are questions that have no answers. You all know how and why. I put him there every week. There mystery solved.

So my friends, please take advantage of this weekly photo shop of the mastermind who planned 9-11 and resulted in the deaths
of 3,000 innocent civilians by KSM (Khalid Sheik Mohammed).

*Note to self -must pick up a case of "Snow Tigers" at Home Depot this week.

I kept a daily BLOG when I surfed everyday during my
CATCH A WAVE FOR MOLLY. (Click On the Banner below)
Started on July 26, 2010 ENDED July 26, 2011.
A Wave a day for 365 consecutive days.
Yesterday- Harry Manzi at the Wall 1980's.
(Below) Once there was a time, when Harry surfed. In fact, he surfed quite regularly. Back in the 80's and early 90's Harry was part of the SST crew. He and his cronies once plotted to have me killed. Ha ha. It's true, or so says Harry. I guess I was hard on them when they were young groms. I thought it was cute when he told me. Harry still gets out in the water from time to time. So if you see him out there, give him a wave, and tell him it was from me. Photo by Thom Moore

No Vacancy from Flat Feet Productions on Vimeo.

The 2nd Fatello & Fatello collaboration. Mackey's been down with an injured ankle, but he's been all over editing and shooting. This is some footage that we both shot. The editing however is all Max. The additional use of After Affects makes this edit a whole new ball game. As always, this has the Fatello humor aspect throughout.

This guy is like Rush Limbaugh on Crack. He's got a problem with Mustaches. My son Max has a mustache. He's not happy about this.

BOMB CYCLONE 1-5-18 from Ralph's Pic Of The Week on Vimeo.

They called it a BOMB CYCLONE. It looked like a big ole nasty Nor'easter to me and my friends. But who am I to question the weathermen? I thought the name was cool, so I went with it. It was a significant storm. Lots of snow and ice. And a whole lot of wind. As in blustery in your face kind of wind. Any way, here it is, the BOMB Cyclone swell. Hope you like it.

Team Chili's 2017 And1 Mixtape Tour from Ralph's Pic Of The Week on Vimeo.

Here is the 2017 Team Chili's And1 Mixtape in all of its glory filmed mostly by Ralph and edited by Max. 25mins of consistent blue collar on rail surfing and horseplay. Watch in it 1080p so your eyes don't bleed.

CHRISTMAS DAY 12-25-17 from Ralph's Pic Of The Week on Vimeo.

Merry Christmas! We had a white Christmas on December 25th, 2017 and a really fun swell. There was a handful of local NH surfers who scored on this most blessed day. And if they were going to surf, I was going to shoot. Not gonna lie folks, it was as cold as it gets around here. Not complaining...wait yes I am. It was cold! Any way the surfers in this web edit are Lars Hamilton, Matt Colby, Becca Speak, and Harrison Speak.

Have a safe and Happy New Year!

My first ever footage with my new SONY 4K camcorder. The Sea-smoke we get every winter was the perfect setting for my first time out. Bundle up, it's pretty cold watching this clip. Hope you like it.
